Born in
Nicaragua to the Latin beat, raised in Georgia where the yet-unknown
Allman Brothers played at his high-school prom, Maurice moved to Kansas
City and learned the blues. Married with 3 great kids, he lived
and played in Louisiana where he absorbed the sounds of the bayou. When
he moved to Tampa, he joined the After Dark Crew and played with
the regionally famous 'Crew. The funkmaster of SOX, Maurice's bass
never misses a beat. |
Raised
in Lakeland, Florida and inspired by the Beatles, Larry picked up his
first guitar at age 9. After buying a used Les Paul from a friend,
Larry played professionally in 3 different bands for 4 years before
taking a personal hiatus. In 2003 Larry picked up the guitar again
to play with neighbors who recently started a band. A couple of years
later and several band incarnations Stroke Of X was born. |
SOX's lead singer hails
locally from Tampa, Florida. Neal started his first band at age 14 and has
been crooning to the crowds ever since. Never missing an
opportunity to get in front of a crowd, Neal has played venues and
crowds of all sizes and sings Country, Rock, and Blues and even Raps to
himself in the shower. |
Brad started playing drums in 6th grade. His roots came
from playing big band and jazz with his father. He's played it all
- Lion’s club events, PTA parties and school events. He
played old classic rock before it was old or classic. One of the
founding fathers of Stroke Of X, Brad is the metronome of the band's
precision timing. |
